To put it bluntly, I am an unapologetic, left-wing, gay loving, atheistic, ACLU card carrying, Socialist from Richmond, Virginia. I am not afraid of the word “liberal”, in fact I love and embrace it. I am tired of being called “unpatriotic” because I desented with Bush. I am tired of Democrats without a backbone. You were voted in to change this country, now go fucking change it. Oh, and I like the word “fuck”.

Now let me preface what I say with these acknowledgements; I consider myself an American Democratic Socialist. I do believe in a bigger government, but the Patriot Act overstretches it’s boundaries. I do believe in a single payer health care system; that health care is a human right, not a privilege of the upper class. I do believe that a government should fear it’s people and not the people should fear it’s government. I do believe the right to bear arms is an outdated amendment, but I know that this country will never outlaw guns and accept that. I believe in a woman’s right to choose. I believe the electoral college is ridiculous; popular vote should win. I believe God should not be in our schools and Sex Ed and the Arts should be. I believe in the sin tax and think that should carry over into soda, fast food and etc. I KNOW that “under God” was added in 1954. I believe the Constitution is living, breathing document. I believe war is never a first option and there should never be a war of “choice”. I believe in equality for all, including gay marriage. I KNOW Barack Obama is not a Socialist and is an American…and I KNOW that America’s best days are ahead of it. I also cling too the fact that the progressives always win.
